Thames Water has awarded several contracts as part of an AMP6 framework agreement for the supply of pipes and fittings with an estimated value of between £24.5 million and £57 million.
The framework agreement covers a total of eight Lots for the supply of pipes and fittings and other associated equipment either directly or on its behalf by its contractors.
Estimated value of the contract when the tender was first issued was in a range between £24.5 million to £57 million.
Derbyshire firm Electrosteel Casting UK Ltd has been awarded a contract for Lot 1 which covers the supply of ductile iron pipes and fittings while Stanton Bonna Concrete Ltd has won a contract for Lot 7 for concrete pipes and fittings.
Staffordshire firm Glynwed Pipe Systems Ltd has been awarded contracts for the following separate Lots:
- Lot 2 PE Pipes
- Lot 3 PE Fittings
- Lot 4 PE Barrier Pipes and Fittings
- Lot 5 PE Electrofusion Fittings
No information has been provided on the length of each contract. When Thames Water first went out to tender it said any agreement awarded would be for an initial duration of 3 years, with options to extend annually up to a maximum overall term of 5 or 7 years. Thames said contracts of 5 or 7 years might also be awarded from the outset.
